Overlay controls
Supported basemaps show chips for Labels, Roads, POIs, and Boundaries.
- A filled chip with a check means that content is shown.
- Click an active chip to hide that content; click it again to restore the content.
- A disabled chip means that overlay is not available for the selected basemap.
Labelshides the basemap’s place, street, water, and landscape names. It doesn’t hide points of interest.POIshides points of interest and their names.- The chips affect only the basemap. They never hide your own layers or sketches.

All supported overlays are shown by default. Changes save immediately for the current map.
Viewer basemap changes
The selection under Default basemap controls what loads first. If the Basemap chooser extension is enabled, viewers can choose a different basemap for their current session without changing this saved default.
