Hosting, security, and compliance

Understand where MangoMap stores customer data, how it protects that data, and where to find current security and compliance information.

MangoMap stores and processes customer data on Amazon Web Services in the US East (Northern Virginia) region.

How MangoMap protects data

MangoMap encrypts customer data at rest and requires TLS 1.2 or later for data in transit. MangoMap does not store your account password in readable form.

New maps and datasets are private by default. Account roles, access groups, and each resource’s publishing settings determine who can open them.

Compliance and health data

MangoMap uses infrastructure and billing providers with established security and compliance programs. MangoMap does not store or process payment card details.

MangoMap is not HIPAA compliant. Do not use it to process or store electronic protected health information (ePHI).

Find current security information

Security controls and compliance details may change. Use MangoMap’s Data Security, Processing & Storage page as the current source for encryption, backups, data residency, sub-processors, security reviews, and vulnerability reporting.

For a security review or due diligence request, email security@mangomap.com.
