The `Customisation` menu in the admin sidebar holds each account-wide setting that changes MangoMap's look and wording. Use this reference to check what each control does before making a change. Every page is owner-only. It lists exact control labels, validation messages, save states, and confirmation text. How-to pages cover the main workflow and link here for edge cases.

## Where the menu is

## Brand

Auto-save.

### Company Logo

| Control | Type | Effect |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `Change` | Button | Replaces the current logo with a new file. |
| `Remove` | Button | Clears the logo back to empty (no logo shown). |

Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP. Maximum size: 2MB. Minimum dimensions: 100×100px. Square or landscape aspect ratios are recommended; portrait images show a warning `Portrait orientation detected. Square or landscape logos are recommended for best display.`.

When `Remove Mango branding` is on, the logo is also the browser tab icon. MangoMap crops it to a centred square.

### Brand Colours

| `Theme Colour` | Select | `Indigo`, `Emerald`, `Royal`, `Coral`, `Teal`, `Ruby`, `Ocean`, `Amber`, `Forest`, `Slate` | Picks a preset that sets `Primary Colour` automatically. |

### Custom Colours

| Control | Type | Effect |

| `Primary Colour` | Colour picker with hex input, no transparency | The account's accent colour. A hex value you enter replaces the preset's colour. |

### Map Feature Highlight

Subsection description: `Configure how map features appear when selected.`

| `Feature Highlight Colour` | Colour picker with hex input and transparency | The colour of selected features on every map in the account. |

### Card actions

| Action | Effect |
| --- | --- |
| `Reset to Defaults` | Clears every brand setting back to defaults. The preset is unset; both colours fall back to the MangoMap UI default. |

## Localisation

### Master controls

| Control | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `Enable Localisation` | Toggle | Turns custom wording on or off across the account. |
| `Reset all text changes` | Button | Disabled when no overrides are active. Opens a confirmation dialog. |

### Sections

The side panel groups labels into four sections. Search across all areas with the `Search labels` field.

| `Portal` | `Wording used while browsing and navigating the portal.` |
| `Maps` | `Wording shown while using a map.` |
| `Dataset` | `Wording shown on dataset pages.` |
| `Shared` | `Generic labels reused across multiple areas.` |

### Override row

For each label in the selected area, the detail panel shows: the label name, a description, an input field with the original text as placeholder, a clear (X) button when an override is active, and a save indicator (`saving` / `saved` / `error`).

## Domain & whitelabel

### Domain Settings

| Control | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `Use a custom domain` | Toggle | Shows the domain input. Saves nothing by itself. Turning it off while a domain is connected opens the `Disconnect` dialog. |
| `Connect` | Button. Loading: `Connecting...`. | Validates and connects the domain. |
| `Disconnect` | Button | Opens a confirmation dialog. |

### Whitelabel Settings

| Control | Type | Effect |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `Remove Mango branding` | Toggle | Hides the Mango logo in the admin sidebar, the Mango badge on maps, and `Mango GIS` in page titles, for every user. With a custom domain, also sends visitors and share links to that domain. Owner-only. |

## Portal config

Auto-save.

### Portal details

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `Default layout` | Choice: `List` or `Grid`. | The layout used by default when visitors open the portal. |
| `Default map sort` | Choice: `Title (A-Z)`, `Title (Z-A)`, `Newest First`, `Oldest First`, or `Recently Updated`. Not set: `Title (A-Z)`. | The sort order the `Maps` page uses when a viewer opens it, on the public portal and when signed in. A viewer's own sort choice overrides it for the session. |
| `Default data sort` | Choice: the five map sorts, plus `Size (smallest first)` and `Size (biggest first)`. Not set: `Title (A-Z)`. | The sort order the `Data` page uses when a viewer opens it, on the public portal and when signed in. A viewer's own sort choice overrides it for the session. |

### Navigation

The `Navigation` section holds the same navigation builder used for a map's custom navigation menu — see [How to build a custom navigation menu](/docs/map-settings/build-custom-navigation-menu). The portal's allowed item types are a subset of the map's: `Link`, `Email Link`, `Modal`, and `Terms Modal`. The map-only types `Maps`, `Map portal`, and `Data portal` are not offered here.

Every change (toggle, add, edit, drag-reorder, enable, delete) saves immediately.

### Save indicators

Each field shows one of three states next to its label: `Saving` (spinner), `Saved` (green check), or `Error` (red label).

## Analytics

Explicit save.

Premium gate: your subscription must include the Google Analytics integration. Without it, the page shows an upgrade prompt instead of the form.
